Studio 1

Studio 1 is a performing arts center with an intimate 100-seat black box theatre located in Holly Hill Mall in Burlington, North Carolina. This production group is a dynamic community theatre group that focuses on providing unique programming in a positive atmosphere with professional results. They provide opportunities to performers of all ages, interests, experience levels and we offer training through classes and outreach.

Some of their recent productions include Walk Two Moons, Pathway to Freedom, Anne of Green Gables, Shrek the Musical, and Hamlet.

Haw River Ballroom

Haw River Ballroom is a beautiful riverside music venue set in the former Dye House in historic Saxapahaw. With highly engineered acoustics, and state of the art sound and lighting systems, three floors, a riverside deck and courtyard, gorgeous architectural detail, vintage furnishings, solar and geothermal power, climate control, and an idyllic rural river setting just minutes from Chapel Hill—there is just no other place quite like it.

The Ballroom has attracted musical guests such as; St. Vincent, Iron & Wine, Sufjan Stevens, Sylvan Esso, Jason Isbell, Tallest Man on Earth, Beach House, and Shovels and Rope among many others.

Alamance Arts

Through adaptive restoration, Alamance Arts Council has turned the 1871 Queen Anne style mansion into an art gallery and a home office for Alamance Arts. The Sister Galleries features changing exhibits of artists of local, regional and national acclaim and includes Picasso’s Gift Shop showcasing gifts and crafts by North Carolina Artisans. The house offers formal reception rooms and a garden, as well as meeting space available for rental to private individuals, civic, and corporate functions.

Alamance Arts is committed to shaping the cultural identity of Alamance County by making art a tangible presence in the lives of Alamance County citizens. They strive to enhance the quality of life by engaging people in a diverse array of art through the delivery of programming and education and through the provision of facilities, advocacy, promotion and funding.
